Pharmaceutical-Grade Automation:

Bosch (formerly Elpro Buchs AG) provides critical monitoring and data logging solutions for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotech sectors. Since 1986, their systems have been used by global pharma giants to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. To support their ElproCloud demonstration system, Bosch required a transition from manually managed AWS environments to a fully automated, scalable infrastructure.

In collaboration with copebit, Bosch underwent multiple discovery workshops to map out a complex microservices architecture. The core objective was to create a "blueprinted" environment that Bosch could deploy independently and repeatedly. The solution was engineered using AWS CloudFormation, allowing for the rapid build of new environments within hours. The architecture utilizes ECS Fargate for containerized workloads, RDS Aurora for high-performance data storage, and L7 routing via ALB.

Connectivity was a key focus, integrating multiple interconnections including internet, VPN, on-premise systems, and telcos via AWS Transit Gateway. Security and compliance—paramount in the pharma industry—were addressed using AWS SSO, GuardDuty, and Config. This transformation has allowed the Bosch development team to shift their focus away from infrastructure maintenance and toward core business logic. The result is a highly secure, automated, and well-documented platform that meets the highest standards of the healthcare industry while significantly improving disaster recovery capabilities.
